24 Hours of Art, why I love Minneapolis

Andy's sister Emily, and her life-partner Xavi, came over for dinner last night. we drank wine, talked aobut baby animals soon to be born at the State Fair, how to tell what spice to add to a dish, a bread baking party, a spa party, how cello fits into rock and roll, and everything else that goes along with broiled tuna and vegetarian options.

we walked over to the Stone Arch Bridge to see the 24 hours of art, put on by the artists at the Soap Factory. There were moving pieces of art, story telling, marshmallow roasting, people with silly coats and they were termed knowledge transfers. we got free water at the beginning and end of the adventure. on the second walk across teh bridge andy emily and xavi decided we should be art too, so in a circle holding the sleeves of emily and i's red sweatshirt we went round and round down the bridge singing Xavi's favorite childhood song "We won't stop!" I, admittedly, did not sing and just allowed my arms and body to participate. apparrently pictures were taken.

school starts in a week and a day. i'm overwhelmed and i'm not. i'm going to see if i can handle the work load before trying to get another job. i just don't think i can make it on what the stipend is, and because there are educational expenses i didn't know i had to cover. preferrably i'd not get another job, but who knows.

martina (a darling friend of mine whom i met in spain) comes tonight to stay, with her father, for two nights. it should be a lot of fun.

Minneapolis is wonderful as always. and so is andy.
