a sore neck on a humid neck

So, i'm a little bored at work. i am officially done with my position at the summer institute on thursday, and i have my exit interview of the program in 30 minutes. i gave a thrilling power point presentation this morning to the 13 other students involved in the program. i got a few laughs from the audience, and i had solicited those with funny slides.

i'm driving down to naperville on thursday to then drive up to Torch Lake with my mother and perhaps the other martinez sisters to spend a few days on the lake at my aunt and uncles place. i'm then returning to ol' napes to help my mother prepare her house for the selling, perhaps as soon as this spring.

for fun news, andy and i spent time with the lovely sarah deitz and her lad jay this past saturday at the annual bocce ball tournament that jay's sister holds. loads of fun.

sunday andy and i worked on our puzzle of a farm house for a few hours and then walked to the walker art museum and played frisbee in the sculpture garden. unfortunately, but expectedly, i threw the frisbee in the gross pond that the spoon and cherry reside in. we waited about a half hour for it to float to the shore. it did at the thrill of a 5 year old who wanted to know if the frisbee would sink in the quick sand. its not quick sand, said his dad (for the 8th time).

and thats the story. oh!!! and andy and i almost wrote a song together. i made up silly lyrics and he made the music for it. but 3 gin and tonics were too much for his artists touch and thus we won't have an album out for a few years yet. keep your fingers crossed though.

A squared. for a good time.
